The Right Friend 12/8/10 - Wed Gathering in Rockville

This Wednesday Sandbox gathering we learn how to listen to our right friend - the inner voice that will help us grow more and help us create good things in our lives. Have you ever seen or felt signs from your Higher Self? Would you like your life to contain less struggle and more joy? Would you like to learn how to turn up the volume on your inner GPS?

We will watch the award winning short movie The Right Friend about a woman who is advised by two inner voices - her Ego and her Higher Self. Then we will discuss how we can listen to our own inner voices and how to tell the difference between them. And learn how to listen to our inner guidance more clearly.

The workshop begins after dinner at 8pm.  I invite you to join us, though as always what ever choice you make you will be honored in.

Movie: What goes around

I recently saw the Danish movie "What goes around" by comedian-actor-writer-director Anders Matthesen on the Spiritual Cinema DVD. Realtor Alex Klein is having a bad day, a bad week, a bad life. He is rude to people and is the victim. Everyone - his girlfriend, daughter, boss, clients even the 14-year-old baristas who think they know the difference between highland coffee beans, picked by virgins at midnight and the coffee from the local supermarket!

When Alex has  a collision with another car and is in critical condition on the operating table he is enroled in a divine game show. And the prize is to win back his life. Both funny and moving Alex learns from his mistakes. And he learns to be honest with love. But who will he be if he has to give up struggle and victimhood? And what would happen if people knew that his favorite color is pink?

2012 movie and Evolver group

If you haven't come across Evolver check it out for consciousness and thought changing stuff. Somewhat similar to the worldwide Transition Town movement. Evolver is screening "2012: A Time for Change" movie December 9th.

2012
Directed by Emmy Award nominee João Amorim, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck, author of the bestselling 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolution, we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all. Rather than breakdown and barbarism, 2012 heralds the birth of a regenerative planetary culture where collaboration replaces competition, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink.
